Biography
Vasilis Korakakis is a Greek musician and was born in Kaisariani, Athens in 1987.
He has collaborated with some of the most remarkable performers (singers/musicians) and songwriters including Stelios Vamvakaris, Vaggelis Korakakis, Christos Leontis, George Dalaras, Giota Nega, Lakis Chalkias and Gerasimos Andreatos, among others.
In 2005, he had the chance to work on stage with Dimitris Mitropanos, Melina Kana and Dimitris Basis, while since 2014 he has been an active member of the renowned musician’s George Dalaras’ orchestra, with whom he has also recorded an album called “Thalassina Palatia” where he orchestrates, plays the bouzouki and sings.
As a composer, he has synthesized the instrumental/orchestral music for Andonikos Dimopoulos’ short film “Desmoi”.
In addition, his songs have been performed by Giannis Dounias and Manolis Lidakis.
On December 2018, he had completed his first completed work “Apo mihanis..tragoudia” in which he sings his creations; both lyrics and music.
